Dr. Liu is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Texas, nationally certified diplomate of Oriental medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) since 2018. He graduated as the valedictorian of his class with a GPA of 4.0 in Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Texas Health and Science University then received his Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science in 2021 with primary focus of study on evidence-based practice. Dr. Liu is dedicated to improve his skills and enrich his knowledge by committing time to study overseas once a year. Dr. Liu has many years of experiences in various medical field including working multiple years in the emergency room of Texas Health Resources at Fort Worth, Alliance and Azle. Dr. Liu has also received training from and is heavily influenced by the very first acupuncturist in Texas, Dr. Chung-Hwei Chernly (AC000001). The unique background of Chinese immigrant at age 14 and the multiple years of Western medical training has called Dr. Liu to spend his entire life time integrating the natural approach of Chinese medicine and the evidence-based concept of Western medicine to provide the best of both medicine for the patients in need.Dr. Liu has also been actively serving at Glory Chinese Baptist Church since 2004 as worship leader, choir member, janitorial staff, Sunday school teacher, and fellowship leader where he learned to understand and care for people as well as acquiring skills in leadership, management and communication. Dr. Liu is fluent in Chinese and English in reading, writing and speaking.
